Modern Slavery Statement

Summarum Media Oy is a privately held company registered in Finland (Business ID 2823017-4), with its head office at Säästöpankinranta 10 D, 00530 Helsinki. We operate loan-comparison and financial-guide websites, including this site, across a number of markets, and work with a distributed, largely remote team — see Our Structure for an overview of how the Company is organised regionally. We are not directly subject to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 or the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, but we publish this statement voluntarily given our international footprint and in line with the spirit of those Acts.

Our business is digital publishing and marketing: we compare and present loan and credit offers from third-party lenders and financial-service providers. We do not manufacture goods, and we have no physical retail, warehousing or logistics operations. Our supply chains are correspondingly limited and consist mainly of professional services — software and hosting providers, marketing and advertising platforms, payment and data-processing services, and independent contractors and freelancers engaged for content, design, engineering and marketing work. We consider our inherent exposure to modern slavery risk to be low relative to businesses with manufacturing or physical product supply chains, but we recognise that risk can exist in any supply chain and keep this assessment under review.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to help ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains. Our internal employment and contractor engagement practices require lawful, freely-chosen employment, fair pay in line with applicable local law, and prohibit the use of forced, bonded or child labour. Given the nature of our business, our main due-diligence focus is on the vendors and contractors we engage directly. Before entering new supplier or contractor relationships of any significance, we consider the nature of the counterparty, the jurisdiction it operates in, and, where relevant, seek contractual assurances around lawful and ethical labour practices. Because we operate primarily through established, professional-services suppliers rather than complex multi-tier physical supply chains, we assess our current exposure as low, and we have not identified any incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains to date.

Relevant staff involved in procurement and supplier engagement are made aware of this statement and of the general risk factors associated with modern slavery, so that any concerns can be identified and escalated appropriately.

We review this statement annually alongside our supplier and contractor base, and will update our approach as our business grows or as we identify new areas of risk. This statement will be reviewed and, where appropriate, updated each financial year.
